Product details

A cold blast gets deleted. A letter that knows your name gets read.

Tag and Reach is a self-hosted plugin for running personal email outreach — job applications, prospecting, partner and speaker search — from your own contact lists. You import a CSV or Excel file, organise contacts into projects, write one letter with merge fields, and send it one recipient at a time through the SMTP you already trust. When nobody replies, a single follow-up goes out on its own. When someone does reply, it is filed straight into that contact’s history.

How it works

  • Import a CSV or Excel list into a project, mapping columns to fields.
  • Write a letter: a subject and a rich-text body, with {{first_name}}, {{company}}, any custom column, fallbacks, and conditional passages so one template covers several situations.
  • Build a campaign: pick the audience by tag and status, see a live recipient count, send yourself a test, then launch. Sending is spread over time by WP-Cron to stay under your host’s limits.
  • Follow up automatically: after the quiet days you set, contacts who did not answer get one more message — once per contact, never twice.
  • Read replies: connect the mailbox that receives your answers over IMAP. Replies land in the contact’s timeline, bounces are flagged, and unsubscribe requests are detected and honoured.

Built to stay yours

Contacts, messages and history live in your WordPress database. Email goes out through your own SMTP and domain reputation. Nothing is uploaded to a third-party outreach service, there is no AI dependency, and the price does not climb with your contact count.

GDPR-light is built in: a mandatory unsubscribe link on every email, a permanent hashed opposition list checked at build, send and import, immediate hard deletes with no hidden trash, a configurable retention window, and a one-file backup that carries the attachment files too.

English, French and Spanish, out of the box.

A WordPress plugin for running personal email outreach from your own contact lists: import a CSV, sort contacts into projects, send letters that read as written by hand, follow up automatically, and track every reply, all through your own mailbox.

No. Templates are written in the standard WordPress rich-text editor. Merge fields and conditional blocks are inserted from a click panel. There is no markup to write.

The email is a letter, not a layout: you write a body, not fill a template with a headline and a button. And it is built around one-to-one mechanics: per-recipient personalisation, follow-ups, reply tracking, an opposition list.

That depends on your domain’s reputation, not on the plugin. Tag and Reach sends through your configured SMTP plugin, so delivery is as good as that setup — which means you need SPF, DKIM and DMARC on your domain and a sending address on that domain.

If you have connected IMAP, the reply is filed into that contact’s timeline, they are moved to “Replied”, and you see a flag on them. Bounces are marked “invalid address”. A “please remove me” is detected and adds them to the opposition list.

Every email has an unsubscribe link. Clicking it adds their hashed address to the opposition list, sets their status to “Unsubscribed”, and logs it. They are then excluded from every future campaign and every import.

Only your own SMTP server, your own IMAP server, and RemotelyLicense for the license check. If you paste a signature containing a remote image, that image is fetched once and stored locally. Nothing else — no AI service, no telemetry.

WordPress 6.4+, PHP 8.1+. The IMAP PHP extension is needed only for reply tracking; the ZIP extension is needed for Excel import and .zip backups. Everything else works without them.

Deactivating stops sending and follow-ups; nothing is deleted. On uninstall you choose beforehand: keep everything (the default), or remove every table, option and stored file.

No. Every plan is the complete plugin. Tiers differ only by how many sites you can run it on.
